Over forty of Sonoma County’s top musicians span the ten stages of the FLATBED over three days in June
Performances by emerging and seasoned recording artists all celebrate the diverse musical landscape that characterizes the Sonoma County sound
The FLATBED is a project of Creative North Group, an artist collective of independent community advocates
As a destination for creatives, we recognize how Live Music cultivates the free-thinking culture of this region. The FLATBED is designed to support the individual musician while stimulating the working economy and spirit
The festival celebrates that spark only music can provide our youth
Our partners do it one student at a time - and they do that everyday
The Flatbed thanks the innovative Creative Sonoma for their part in making the FLATBED come alive.
Public funding for the arts by way of Creative Sonoma's Cultural Arts Grant has helped us put the 'pedal to the metal' in reaching out to the greater West County community and helps us provide free tickets to those with limited financial resources in the region to enjoy the festival.
“Children who study a musical instrument are more likely to excel in all of their studies, work better in teams, have enhanced critical thinking skills, stay in school and pursue further education.”
The Flatbed is proud to work with organizations like PLAY IT FORWARD MUSIC FOUNDATION and all local musicians dedicated to sharing their art through music education in Sonoma County.
Sebastopol is rooted to the independent communities of West County - the ones that brave the coast, wind along the river and tuck themselves into the hills and we thank them for their support.
Some say, the singer/songwriter character of the music scene in the county was seeded in the sixties by an exodus of hippies from San Francisco.
Hard to say. One thing is certain, music creates community.
